Where it all began...

1970 | The early history

The early history of Quentin Hotels, began on the canals of Amsterdam, where the very first property named “Quentin” (today known as Quentin Canal House), welcomed guests as early as the 1970s. Set in a classic Canal House, it laid the foundations for what would become a true Hotel Collection.

1990 | A new chapter

In 1990, the hotel's ownership was transferred to a Dutch family who fully renovated the building and reimagined the guest experience, opening a new chapter for the hotel.

Although it was still just a single hotel, the focus was already on preserving heritage, thoughtful design and a warm atmosphere.

1995 - 2010 | Expansion to Berlin

Between 1995 and 2010, the collection steadily grew, expanding to seven hotels across Amsterdam and Berlin. Each new location was carefully chosen, housed in a distinctive building and shaped by its surroundings rather than following a standard formula.

2011 - 2026 | The modern day

From 2011 onwards, Quentin Hotels continued its journey beyond its original cities. New hotels were added in Prague and Barcelona, bringing the collection to a total of eleven unique locations today.

While the cities have grown more diverse, the philosophy has remained the same: every Quentin Hotel tells its own story, shaped by place, history and the people who bring it to life.
